For Suki
I walked to the Archers,
Not a care in the world
Till I saw her sleeping,
Around the Bear curled.
A vision in sky blue,
So pretty to see
The sweetest fey archer
The cutest could be.
Her arms tight around him,
At peace in his care,
Snuggled in close
Of our gaze unaware.
She asked if I hated
Her moon-touched charms
Yet there would I wish
To be the Bear in her arms.
As the sun was her smile,
Lighting the day –
A vision of beauty
That’ll ne’er fade away.
I hope this rhyme answers
The question that day.
