Light and Dark
Ceremonies of Light and Dark
The memories of loss
Kindling a distant spark
Of lives pulled down in the frost
Dreaming of a distant land
Of Avalon's glory days
Caught up in the desperate stand
Of lives lost in the haze
Trn between the battle cry
And loved ones waiting tense
Duty and honour flies
In the face of horror's wrench
To fight and die a hero's death
Battling for the cause
Or sharing a love's last breath
A dilemma to give pause
And what of the sacrifice
The dwarven workers' lives
Extinguished – and for no vice
Again a nation cries
Yet in the flames of lose and horror
In the deepest dark
A noble hero finds his honour
And burns the brightest spark
