Song for the Living
Written April 1107 – We’re still here. Let’s not waste it.
The world begins again, built on sorrows past.
Though tears still fall, we must stand tall, and build this world to last.
Our efforts are our memory to those who went before
We face our fears, and wipe our tears, and let them hear us roar.
Sing across the oceans and the mountains tall
We are still here. We did not fall.
Sing out loud to drown the raven's call
We are still here. We did not fall.
We do not stand alone, for friends old and new
We take their hand, they understand, our moments may be few.
But what we do to make them count, is our one legacy
And so we sing, and laughter bring, and strive for joys to be.
Sing across the borders of river and wall
We are still here. We did not fall.
Sing out loud to be joined by one and all
We are still here. We did not fall.
