Winter Ramble

Winter comes unto the Hearth,
The snow is blanket-white.
The clansfolk they do play and laugh,
And drink into the night.

The snowmen guard the crossroads hence,
And watch the clan at rest.
The music roams and dances whence,
To welcome every guest.

A harsh and heavy winter waits,
Under the velvet gown.
And yet unbowed our clan partakes,
And won’t be feeling down!

***

The dark of winter comes upon
Anu’s faithful crowd.
The hurt of wanting rears ahead,
Though Faith remains unbowed.

The dark of winter throws its cowl,
The cold and barren’s howl.
Yet keep to faith with Her, stay true,
To light the dark anew.
