You're Never Going Home
Written June 1106 – for Void Lance and those certain special people that became our home.

"You're never going home."
The Lance Sergeant said
As we dressed up for battle
In blue, gold and red.

"You're never going home."
The battlefield spoke
As it flooded with Nosta Kar
And extinguished all hope.

"You're never going home."
Was whispered on the breeze
When the battlefield vanished
As we were brought to our knees.

"You're never going home."
Was the murmur we heard
When all the world rippled
And our fate was bared.

"You're never going home."
In each world the same song
As we wandered the Void
With no place to belong.

"You're never going home."
Were the last words of many
Of our brothers and sisters
As they fell to the enemy.

"You might just go home."
Said a King with a rock
From the boy in the cellar
Of familiar stock.

"You're never going home."
They told us too fast
Of the fall of Avalon -
The Dream didn't last.

"Will you ever come home?"
We call to you still
To the few still out there
We pray that you will.

"You're never going home."
Hints a changing world
As it tears itself apart
With fists ever furled.

"Let this be your home."
We hear the Lions roar
We'll be your family
You're home on our shores.

"You're finally home."
Breathes a silent embrace
When a warm hand finds ours
And holds us in place.
