The Gathering, 1104

Main Occurances

Friday
Sheyna Darkleaf is stood down from her position as High Healer of the Lions whilst the soundness of her mind is examined following her actions involving the desecration of a grave and the hiding of Benedict Darkendale's skull. She is currently detained by the Sheriff's Department and Midir of Armengar is now acting High Healer.

The Vipers' Camp is attacked as a member of House Soulsplitter, Nate, is believed to be held captive there. It turns out that he is not, but the Vipers there ask for talk rather than a fight and the attack is deemed successful.

Saturday
The morning brings a fresh attack on the Vipers, although the reasoning is unclear. Many believe it is merely because the previous night's assualt was a success, though rumours speak of the Vipers preparing to attack the Lions in retaliation for the previous night's attack. Notably, the Prince Bishop's Men and House Soulsplitter are reluctant to pursue the conflict, but go along to try and ensure there are no deaths (in the case of the Prince Bishop's Men) and after being ordered along by Crown Prince Bison (House Soulsplitter). The fight is met, but the Lions are pushed back to their camp when allies to the Vipers arrive - including the Wolves and Tarantulas. On return to camp it is found that Prince Bison, Lexandro and Fist are missing. Lexandro is later discovered to have been taken by the Tarantulas (and is ransomed in return for beer), but Fist and Bison are not found. It transpires that Prince Bison has been abducted to Prague by El Nino of the Vipers. Some time later, He is discovered to be dead. The Lions each offer their respect, condolences and bring El Nino’s head on a plate to the Queen, and El Nino is outlawed and banished by the Vipers, for this and other crimes. Fist is also confimed as dead.

The High Admiral, Sebastian DuPont, married me! The Ancestors Hera, Athena, Aphrodite and Eris attended in a should-have-been-anticipated tangle with a golden apple.

The Armengarians discover "the man in the mountain", the "great weapon" that the Empire spoke of being in their Citadel. He is the physical manifestation of the magic bound up in the Citadel. Whilst the bulk of the Lions and mustered allies distracted the Conclave by massing outside Armengar, the man in the mountain presented the Armengarians present with two choices: to let him live, and risk discovery by the Conclave and potential corruption (which would likely spark the next Cataclysm) or else they could kill him thus destroying their home but saving the world. They kill him, bringing down the walls of the Citadel and releasing the vast amounts of magic contained in them. Unfortunately, this magical pulse destroys all of the many magical items on Amnor and causes the Orb of Magic to shatter. Mage Jinks is understandably angry, but calms from his desire to kill all the Lions (and then from his desire to slaughter the Armengarians and everyone they've ever met instead) with time. The Conclave abandon what's left of the Citadel, and it seems that the Empire are willing to negotiate further their presence on Amnor.

Felix, a frequent and dangerous foe, is apprehended and slain as he walks across the market place.

Sunday
Warlord Tremayne is named Prince of the Lions.

Queen Sapphire, following her bereavement, steps down as Lady General, though remains Queen of the Lions, and retires to Camelot. Princess Tope becomes Lady General.

Amroth Drow assassins attack the Order of Nemesis, but are beaten off by the faction. Their priestess and her guards are later released.

Some Lions of House Soulsplitter, the Prince Bishop's Men and DuPont's Independant Traders go to the Planes of Darkness in order to assist the Bards' and Mages' guilds in destroying the bastellus Desire. The attack is successful and Desire's current incarnation is destroyed. Desire will reform in time, but in an uncorrupt form. In return for their assistance, the bastellus Torment looks for El Nino on the planes of unlife, but reports that if he was there before, he no longer is.

Sengool is attacked in his hide-away and taken captive. Although gravely wounded he cannot die until his portrait is found and destroyed. He remains in a comatose state under heavy guard.

His Grace, the Prince Bishop steps down as High Incantor and Ezekial Crane, People's Day High Incantor, fills the role in the interim. In place of Tremayne, Alana is interim Warlord.

Monday
The Lions stand with the Vipers, Wovles and Empire on the issue of the Sylvan Barrier (the Lions were talked into it with the promise of the repowering of magic items lost on Amnor). The Sylvans and their allies (mainly opponents of the Empire) wish the barrier to be be raised, the other side do not. The Lions' side is victorious and the barrier is destroyed. Remarkably, the Lions and Vipers remember not to attack each other.

Those That Died
Prince Bison, James Robspierre (the Achillean), Trooper McKenzie, Lt. Farassi, Commisar Cadet Taysha, Trooper John Walker, Deoden, Sgt. Fist, Brayoth Eventide, Mirririth Flanelath, Swift.

Baloo and Li Wu are missing, suspected dead.
