Incubus
music by Evaine
The sun blushes low o’er the swathe of the bluebells
And the bright moon says farewell to the world of the day
Stars shining brightly fade back into nothingness
And the dawn chorus softly sings you on your way
Bleak is the dawn light, the colours all faded
The pale light of morning makes twilight of day
Gone from the hearthside, the circle stands empty
And the threatening brightness sends you on your way
Where do you go when the sun’s in his zenith?
Where do you go when you hide from the day?
I waste in the sunlight and blossom in darkness
And fade once again when you’ve gone on your way
Some find their pleasure in noontime and sunlight
Some find their joy in the golden bright day
But I only find peace in the shadows of your smile
I only know joy when the sun’s gone away
The sun blushes low o’er the swathe of the bluebells
And the bright moon says farewell to the world of the day
Once shining brightly, I fade into nothingness
As the dawn chorus softly sings you on your way
