Monsters Have Families
Undead and beasties and creatures from Hell
And things that you find going up hill and down dell
All of these beings that you love to fight
Without sparing a thought for their kids or their wives
You find them in caves or in forests green
You find them in the ocean and when they're fast asleep
But I bet that you don't consider their folks
While you chop them up and in the eye poke!
But monsters you see, have families too
Just like me, and so much like you
Yes even that ogre you killed yesterday
Had offspring at home, so spare a thought - I pray
Oh you brave adventurers fight all day long
Killing poor monsters then telling tales in song
You think that you're clever or at least quite tough
But stop to consider that it might just be their day off!
'Cos monsters you see, have families too
Just like me, and so much like you
Yes even that ogre you killed yesterday
Had offspring at home, so spare a thought - I pray
So if you must bash a gribbly or two
Even if they're eating or going to the loo
Please friends just think of their poor orphaned babes
Who'll be grown up when you're old - they'll find you one day!
