Only the Start
Shy looks and glances,
Awkward conversations where tongues cannot move.
The start of romances.
A meal by the loch on a clear afternoon.
A love forming slowly,
Almost unnoticed, so gently it grew.
A blossoming friendship,
‘Till hands clasped at a dance, and they suddenly knew.
Their love growing stronger.
Their hearts intertwined with the bonds of their lives.
Through good times and sorrows.
Each comforts the other as their union thrives.
They stand now before you.
Hands clasped once again in a pledge of their hearts.
Their past lives behind them.
In their story of love, this is only the start.
