Spirits of the Forest

Spirits of the forest
Spirits of our land
Came to us in agony
Sought out our warband
They were torn and bleeding
We begged them to explain
Rot inside their trees had left them
Crying out in pain

The trees are dead and rotting
Every hawthorn, birch and beam
There's not a thing that we can do
But still the dryads scream

Spirits of the water
Spirits of our land
Begged us all to ease their pain
They could barely stand
Death had come amongst them
We heard their sorry plight
Poisoned streams and blackened water
Filled the land with blight

The waters are polluted
Every river, lake and stream
There's not a thing that we can do
But still the naiads scream

Spirits of our homeland
Will be dying soon
But we cannot help them now
Trapped here in Annwn
Seeing them in anguish
We'll do what we think best
Send them back to Danu's arms arm
Lay them all to rest

Our lands have been corrupted
While we wander in this dream
There's not a thing that we can do
But still the spirits scream
