Stan McTrew

The aftermath of battles fought
Often are with sorrow wrought
And among the fallen few
There was a man called Stan Mactrew.

He was father to a boy
Who truly was his pride and joy
But that son, he never knew
About the man, was Stan MacTrew.

The child was only 2 months old
The summer had not yet turned cold
The poor boy didn't have a clue
What happened then to Stan MacTrew.

Stan's wife also had a girl
Adopted, but her mother's pearl
And now that daughter's grieving too
For the loss of Stan MacTrew.

Battles rage and heroes fall,
The healers will not find them all,
And even worse, we never knew
When creatures came for Stan MacTrew.

He stood strong and held his line
But was taken down before his time
At the ending of the World we knew,
The world ended for Stan MacTrew.

Now he'll never watch his children grow
He's the father they will never know
So here, in memory of you
We'll drink a toast to Stan MacTrew.
